What we do

We make wine with curiosity, passion & creativity.

Luda Mala fruit is sourced from a single vineyard at the northern end of the stunning Margaret River region in Western Australia. We’re believers that all good wine, stems from high quality fruit and what we do in the vineyard plays as big a role as the hustle in the winery.

Taz spends a lot of his time tending the vineyard, with a love for music you’ll often find him vibing amongst the vines to eclectic tunes like Iron & Wine and Watchhouse, or rocking out on the tractor, fixing broken foliage wires and posts, or tinkering with his chainsaw.

Taz takes his winemaking experience from over a decade of making hundreds of wines at small to large scale wineries with grapes sourced from all over WA – from Swan Valley to Frankland River, Pemberton to Margaret River.

The common thread that links great wines?...

It starts and ends with great fruit, its cliché but if you talk to any winemaker who has been involved in the winemaking process from the vineyard to the bottle, if the fruit isn’t sound, you’re starting the winemaking process behind the eight ball. Get it right in the vineyard and everything falls into place in the winery.

Our philosophy is all about making wines that have energy, are fun, balanced and approachable and are crafted to be shared in real moments with good mates and loved ones. Put simply, we make the best wine by sourcing the best fruit we can using our wits, knowledge, palate & training so the end product is so slurpable it sparks conversation and laughter between loved ones.
